C’nawabganj Correspondent: The Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 18 bottles of foreign liquor and 3,950 pieces of yaba tablets in two separate drives from Shibganj frontier areas in the early hours of on Thursday.
BGB sources said, acting on a tip off, a patrol team of the BGB from Chakpara Border Out Post (BOP) conducted a raid at frontier Chakpara area about 200 yards inside Bangladesh territory from border pillar No 183 at around 12-10 am and recovered 18 bottles of foreign liquor and 1,950 pieces of yaba tablets in an abandoned condition.
Another team of the BGB from Sonamasjid BOP raided at Tohakhana area about one kilometre inside Bangladesh territory from border pillar No 185/4-S at around 4 am and recovered 2,000 pieces of yaba tablets.
