Staff Correspondent: Today (September 13) is the 1st death anniversary of distinguished social worker and educationist Alhaj Saidur Rahman, former president of Tongi Press Club and father of Syed Atik, founder of Haji Said Laboratory School. On this occasion, a civic memorial meeting and prayer mahfil have been organized throughout the day at Haji Saeed Laboratory School, a renowned educational institution in Tongi, on Friday afternoon.
It is to be noted that Alhaj Saidur Rahman died at the age of 82 on September 13 last year due to old age at Ever Care Hospital in the capital.
On behalf of the deceased’s family, prayers have been requested from all, including well-wishers, for the repose of his soul.
