Nuruddin Jabed, Lakshmipur: Rice planters and fish have been distributed to the flood-affected farmers and fish farmers in Raipur. Among hundreds of affected families, seeds of various vegetables including chicken, bean seedlings, along with fertilizer and food were distributed.

These incentives were handed over to the affected people at Varnamala Academy premises in front of Raipur Fish Breeding and Training Center on Thursday evening. It has been organized under the banner of Agriculturalists Association of Bangladesh (AB).
Under the chairmanship of Dr Mo: Jahangir, Rashedul Hasan Harun, President of the Central Committee of AB, was the chief guest and Shamimur Rahman Shamim, Research Affairs Secretary of Central BNP, was the main speaker.
Under the direction of agriculturist Dr. Mohammad Ashraful Alam Jimi, Deputy Director of District Agriculture Extension Department Sohel Md. Shamsuddin Feroz, District Animal Resources Officer Kumud Ranjan Mitra, Raipur Upazila BNP President Monir Hossain Howladar and Raipur Municipal BNP President ABM Jilani spoke in it.
Raipur BNP general secretary Zahid Hossain Miyaji, agriculturist Dr. Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, agriculturist Nurunnabi Bhuiyan Shyamal, agriculturist Sheikh Muhammad Shafi Shawon, Abdur Rakib, Lutfar Rahman Mridul, Faisal Ahmed, KM Sanwar Alam and Rahul Amin were present on the occasion.
According to the organizers, 100 people have been gifted with rice seedlings, vegetable seedlings, seeds and fertilizers to help flood-affected farmers. 12 fish farmers have been given fish fry. Besides, 100 people have been given 4 chicks each with food. Different types of medicines are also distributed to cure water borne diseases.
