Md. Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: Prominent businessman Alhaj Alamgir Hossain stands beside the helpless flood victims in Mymensingh’s Phulpur. For the past four days, he has distributed 1300 packets of relief materials among the flood victims in various unions of the upazila, including Chandhara, Sinheshwar, Phulpur, Rupasi and Balia unions. Each relief package worth about 500 taka contained rice, pulses, potatoes, onions and other daily essentials. He is delivering these relief items to the flood victims from house to house. Locals welcomed his public service activities. He is praised by all. Alamgir Hossain said, danger does not last forever. Everyone should come forward to help the flood victims. We can also provide post-flood assistance to the victims.
