Business Desk: Executive Committee Meeting of Bangladesh Insurance Forum- BIF, an organization of chief executives of life and non-life insurance companies, was held at the NLI Tower on Wednesday. Md. Jalalul Azim, CEO of Pragati Life Insurance Company and Executive Member of the Forum presided over the event.
The meeting was attended by the Forum’s Senior Vice President Imam Shaheen, Vice President N. C. Rudra, Acting Secretary General S. M. Nuruzzaman, Joint Secretary General Md. Kazim Uddin, Office Secretary M. M. Monirul Alam, Publication Secretary Md. Golam Kibria, Social Welfare Secretary Nur Alam Siddiqui, Executive Members Brigadier General (Retd) Shafiq Shamim, Nimai Kumar Saha, Md. Abdul Matin Sarkar among others.
A 3-member election management committee was formed in the meeting to organize the forum’s elections. The Chief Election Commissioner is Md. Jalalul Azim-CEO, Pragati Life Insurance; Commissioners are Astha Life Insurance CEO Brigadier General (Retd) Shah Sagirul Islam and Agrani Insurance CEO Md. Azharul Islam.
Everyone expressed their views on playing a role in the development of the insurance industry from their respective positions in the meeting.
