Syed Atik, Gazipur: BNP central leader and former MP Alhaj Hasan Uddin Sarkar said that some teachers following the escaped Sheikh Hasina had turned many educational institutions into a paradise for looting under the political umbrella. In the past sixteen years, the education system of this country has been destroyed. Educational institutions have been used as offices of a political party.
He said that private schools are playing an important role in employment and education. He called on teachers to protect the dignity of their profession and practice teaching.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the annual general meeting and Eid reunion organized by the Gazipur Private School Association, Tongi West Thana at the Al-Helal School auditorium in Tongi on Saturday (April 26) morning. The event was presided over by the association’s president Muhammad Hedayet Ullah. Gazipur Private School Association, Tongi West Thana General Secretary Md. Mojibur Rahman and Organizing Secretary Saidul Islam Joni moderated the program. Gazipur Sadar Upazila Secondary Education Officer Azizur Rahman, former senior joint convener of Gazipur Metropolitan BNP Rakib Uddin Sarkar Pappu, Tongi West Thana BNP convener Lecturer Basir Uddin, Tongi West Thana Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Anwar Hossain Bhuiyan, Gazipur Private School Association Tongi East Thana President Md. Abdul Matin, among others, were present at the program. Maulana Atiqul Islam, Secretary of Tongi West Thana Jamaat-e-Islami, Jubo Dal leader Sheikh Mohammad Sumon, prominent social worker Shamim Bepari, association leaders and founders and headmasters of all private schools in the West Thana area were present.
