Khwaja Masum Bellah Kausarey: Unity is the key to success, and disunity is the key to failure, slavery, defeat, and subjugation. A glance at past history proves this without any doubt. If we observe the current state of Muslims, we can say with certainty that they have tightly embraced the key to failure. As a result, they are not achieving the most desired and expected outcomes. The muezzin calls to prayer with a sense of faith and responsibility. In the mosque, people of different ranks, colors, tribes, countries, and languages stand together to perform Salah (prayer). Among the worshipers, there is no visible discrimination. Even the head of state and an ordinary citizen must stand shoulder to shoulder in the same row — this is the Islamic system. Linguistic, ethnic, and tribal differences do not and will never create divisions within the mosque’s congregational prayers. These five daily prayers are, in fact, a grand training ground for practicing unity and brotherhood. Similarly, Muslims must also practice the same level of unity and brotherhood in their political and social lives with undivided attention.Politics means state-building, the art of uniting people from all professions, establishing justice according to Islam, formulating and implementing ethical values, and ensuring the safety and livelihood of all Muslims. The question is, no matter how much Salah, fasting, Hajj, charity, and other acts of worship are performed, none of them fulfill this responsibility. Therefore, political worship is extremely important, and Almighty Allah has revealed His laws to establish it. It is considered one of the most important and reliable acts of worship in a Muslim’s life. If Muslims collectively fail in political worship, they face only defeat and slavery at the hands of their enemies — just as the scholars suggest is happening today. In reality, if we observe carefully, we will see that Muslims are currently failing miserably in political worship.
If we look deeper, we will notice that 350 million Arabs are today divided into 22 different states despite sharing the same religion, same language, and same sense of national identity. Some Arabs may think that they have succeeded in creating 22 Arab states worldwide. But they never reflect on the fact that this entire Arab region was once a single nation under Ottoman rule. The enemies of Islam are always ready to wage any war, at any cost, to divide any major Muslim country. Their primary agenda or strategy is to keep Muslims weak, disunited, and defenseless. This is why the Ottoman Caliphate was the main target of non-Muslims. Therefore, to create these artificial Arab states, Arab leaders didn’t need to fight wars themselves — those necessary wars were fought by the non-Muslims, and history bears witness to this. Historical records show that over 1 million Arabs, fully armed, fought alongside the British army against Ottoman rule. The division of the Muslim world has, in fact, occurred — and continues to occur — due to the failure of Muslims and the arrogance of religious leaders. It is a matter of deep regret that the leaders and people of these Muslim countries enthusiastically celebrate the anniversaries of the formation of this divided Muslim world map. As a result of such divisions, Muslims today are mere spectators to death and destruction in Gaza and other Muslim territories. The entire world now offers only prayers for Gaza. After every Friday prayer, millions of Muslims make Du’a for Gaza. But if one investigates deeply, one will find that behind this conspiracy, some Muslim country or another is inevitably involved.
