Mizanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: A human chain of journalists has been held in Phulpur, Mymensingh, demanding the immediate arrest and maximum punishment of those involved in the murder of journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin in Gazipur and the enactment of a journalist protection law.
The human chain was held at the municipality’s Gol Chattar on Saturday afternoon at the initiative of the Bangladesh Mofusal Journalist Forum Phulpur Upazila branch. The human chain, presided over by the organization’s Phulpur branch president Mizanur Rahman Akand, expressed unity in the human chain, with senior journalists from Phulpur Humayun Kabir Mukul, Nurul Amin, Khalilur Rahman, Siddiqul Hasan, Abdul Mannan, Mostafa Khan, among others.
Among the journalists from the organizations were Selim Rana, Upazila Vice-President of the Mofusal Journalists Forum, Abdur Rahman Roni, General Secretary, Zahidul Haque Emon, Joint Secretary, Nazmul Hasan Rajan, Members Khadimul Hasan, Hadiyatul Islam Umrid among others.
