MM Rahmatullah: A public meeting was held at Babubazar, Kotwali Police Station, at the initiative of the Dhaka Metropolitan South Branch of Amar Bangladesh Party. AB Party General Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad delivered a speech as the chief guest at the public meeting titled AB Party’s role and commitment in the progress of building a new Bangladesh 2.0.
At the time, he said that those who killed and disappeared innocent people of the opposition party due to different views, and made them militants and crossed fire for a beard and cap, must definitely face justice. If the Chief Justice, Secretary, Minister-MPs can be in jail for killing democracy and people, then why should the public servants be in special AC prisons? At the same time, he thanked the accused army officers in the International Crimes Tribunal for facing trial and said that the tribunal and the Home Ministry must establish justice in all murders and disappearances so that there is no inequality in justice. Just as a rickshaw puller does not turn his own house into a prison if he commits a crime, no government AC-equipped institution can become a prison either. Those who have built more than 800 mirror houses to hand over Bangladesh to Delhi will not have any easy exit for those who will help them escape. In post-24 mass uprising Bangladesh, criminals will definitely have to stay in Keraniganj and Kashimpur jails.
To solve local problems in Dhaka, he requested the local people not to vote after seeing the slogans of Zindabad or Amuk Bhai. The public meeting was chaired by Kotwali Police Station Convener Md. Nur Hossain, and other speeches were delivered by Central Joint General Secretary Anwar Sadat Tutul, Dhaka Metropolitan South Convener Abdul Halim Khokon, were present among others.
