“The space system with artificial gravity includes an axial module with static and rotating parts, connected with the help of a hermetically sealed flexible junction, as well as habitable modules, rotation equipment and power sources,” according to the patent
MOSCOW, October 15. /TASS/. Russia’s Energia Space Rocket Corporation (part of the state-run space corporation Roscosmos) has patented a spacecraft that uses artificial gravity, according to the patent, obtained by TASS.
“The space system with artificial gravity includes an axial module with static and rotating parts, connected with the help of a hermetically sealed flexible junction, as well as habitable modules, rotation equipment and power sources,” the document says.
The authors of the project say that the rotating system will generate the gravitational force of 0.5g, or 50% of the Earth’s gravity.

Intensive diplomatic efforts underway to prepare Putin-Trump meeting — diplomat
“The top diplomats of Russia and Hungary held talks to prepare for the event,” Maria Zakharova said
MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. Russian diplomats are conducting “very thorough and truly serious” work to prepare the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in an interview with TASS.
“The contact [between Putin and Trump] took place and was commented on by the presidential administration. Mr. [Kremlin aide Yury] Ushakov provided detailed information about it. Following up on these contacts, the top diplomats of Russia and Hungary held talks to prepare for the event,” she said.
“Work is also being carried out through diplomatic channels [at various levels]. This is a brief summary of the very thorough and truly serious work currently being carried out by Russian diplomats and those entrusted with preparing this visit, this meeting,” the diplomat emphasized.
On October 16, after a telephone conversation with Putin, Trump announced that they had agreed to meet soon in Budapest. Ushakov also said that Moscow and Washington would “without delay” begin preparations for a new meeting between the two countries’ leaders, which could be organized in the Hungarian capital. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban ordered the creation of an organizing committee to prepare for the summit, specifying that this work began on Thursday evening.
EU seeks to disrupt any peace efforts on Ukraine ahead of Putin-Trump meeting — diplomat
According to Maria Zakharova, the Western European leaders are doing everything they can to escalate the conflict
MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. The EU has moved to “active subversive efforts” ahead of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump, seeking to disrupt any peace efforts in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told TASS in an interview.
“We, of course, see and hear what is happening ‘around the perimeter’ due to the misunderstanding of what is going on. The EU and the aggressive Western European community have moved on to what they call active subversive actions,” Zakharova said. “Once again, there have been statements and threats,” the diplomat pointed out.
“We understand what they want to do. I mean the Western European community fueled by former American ultra-liberal attitudes. Of course, they want to disrupt any peaceful aspirations, from talks about peace negotiations to actual actions,” she noted.
“It’s clear that they’re trying to escalate the conflict as they did in 2022 by disrupting the peace talks requested by the Kiev regime, which our country made possible,” Zakharova pointed out. “They have been doing this all these years, periodically camouflaging their actions with statements about alleged peace and alleged peace initiatives. In reality, they are doing everything they can to escalate the conflict. It is difficult to say how much they realize what they are doing, given the number of unprofessional people in charge of all these Western European countries. These people lack professionalism in terms of education, experience, and vocation,” the diplomat stressed. According to her, they are “just talking heads who are fed the appropriate ideas.”
SPECIAL MILITARY OPERATION IN UKRAINE
Militants from Poland, Romania, Colombia, UK, US fighting in Dnepropetrovsk Region
Colombian militants are used in the most difficult areas
MOSCOW, October 20. /TASS/. European, US and Latin American citizens are fighting as part of the Ukrainian army’s foreign units in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, a Russian security official told TASS.
“It’s about Eastern European counties; there are Polish volunteer units and Romania’s Battlegroup Getica, which turns up there occasionally to restore combat capabilities. As for Latin America, Colombian militants are used in the most difficult areas. US and British citizens, who often serve as military medics and snipers and operate complicated equipment, are stationed there on a rotating basis,” the official said.
Security sources also told TASS that English language skills were a must for Ukrainian service members to deal with military equipment and communicate with NATO instructors.
Igor Kimakovsky, advisor to the Donetsk leader, told TASS in early September that glide bomb strikes had eliminated almost all Spanish-speaking mercenaries deployed to the Dnepropetrovsk Region. In early October, a Russian security official told TASS that a group of Colombian mercenaries stationed in the Dnepropetrovsk Region had been wiped out by glide bombs.

Zaporozhye nuke plant says no Ukrainian attacks recorded since ‘silence regime’
According to ZNPP Communications Director Yevgenia Yashina, seven-day repairs are currently underway at the Dneprovskaya power line providing electricity to the Zaporozhye NPP
MELITOPOL, October 20. /TASS/. No Ukrainian strikes on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) have been registered since a “silence regime” was introduced at the facility on October 18 to repair off-site electricity supply, ZNPP Communications Director Yevgenia Yashina told TASS.
On October 18, the ZNPP staff and Rosseti grid specialists began repairs at the Dneprovskaya high-voltage power line to the Zaporozhye nuke plant, damaged by Ukrainian forces on September 23. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi noted that repairs at that power line and the Ukraine-based Ferrosplavnaya 1 electricity line were launched after “temporary ceasefire zones” had been established. Restoring off-site power to the nuke plant is critically essential for nuclear safety, he emphasized.
“No Ukrainian attacks on the area where the ZNPP is located have been registered since the ‘silence regime,'” Yashina said.
According to her, seven-day repairs are currently underway at the Dneprovskaya power line providing electricity to the Zaporozhye NPP. All operations are running according to plan, Yashina stressed.
The situation at the ZNPP itself remains under control, the ZNPP spokeswoman added. The nuclear facility has relied on emergency diesel generators for electricity, and there are enough fuel supplies for those, while ZNPP staff are taking all necessary measures to ensure safety at the plant’s power units and facilities, she concluded.
The ZNPP has been operating on emergency diesel generators since September 23, as all external power supply lines have been damaged by hostilities and are not functioning. Shelling hit the last, 750 kV Dneprovskaya high-voltage transmission line on September 23. Earlier, specialists could not begin repairs due to incessant enemy shelling. Another 330 kV Ferrosplavnaya 1 line has been disconnected since May 7, with the damage located on the territory controlled by Ukraine on the right bank of the Dnepr River.
