Hasan Mahmud, Tongi: Zareen Tasneem Oishi, a class five student of Renaissance Lower Secondary School at Tongi won the silver medal in the karate event. She won a silver medal in the Victory Day Under-18 Karate Competition held at Vikarunnisa Noon School and College, Bailey Road in the capital on Saturday.
Bangladesh Karate Federation organized this competition.
Members of various clubs and organizations related to karate in Bangladesh participated in it. In this competition, Zarin achieved this for the International Karate Union (IKU) team.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Union and Deputy Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association Ashikur Rahman Miku was present as the chief guest, Kamrun Nahar, Principal of Vikarunnisa Noon School and College was present as special guest, Iqbal Hossain, Vice President of Bangladesh Karate Federation presided over the program.
On this occasion the invited guests participated and distributed prizes among the victory players.
