Md Jubair: Banning PFI while Simultaneously Allowing RSS Operations in India BJP has been instrumental in brushing off Muslims minorities from mainstreams politics. A recent example is banning of PFI (Popular Front of India); a pre-dominant Muslims Organization formed to protect rights of minorities.
PM Modi Government has been successful for creating paranoiac euphoria among a large section of Hindus against PFI and presenting it as a menace and terrorist organization of India.
Ban on PFI on counterfeit charges confirms the narrative that BJP’s center of gravity depends on creating Hindu-Muslims divide.
Had the BJP been serious about containing fundamentalist tendencies in India; it would have dealt similarly with organizations like RSS/ Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, whose members have been implicated in multiple terrorist incidents and attacks on Muslims.
Implicating Muslims in Fake Criminal Charges
Recently, an uptick in violence / mob lynching of Muslims in the name of cow slaughter I all over the India.
Moreover, there have several incidents in last 4 weeks, where, fake rape charges of Hindu Dalit Minority girls have been leveled against Muslims and quickly made viral on electronic/ SM.
A Muslim woman was investigated on 22 Sep 2022 for offering prayers in a hospital room outside a ward at a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh.
In Jul 2022, 4 Muslims were also arrested for offering Namaz in the basement of Lulu Shopping Mall in Lucknow, India.
India Media Propagating Hatred against Muslims
One of India’s main TV channel ‘Aaj Tak on 30 Sep 2022 at 2112 hours’, openly aired Islamophobic content for 4 minutes that Muslims men participated in Hindu festivals (Garba) with Hindu names with intent to link many Hindu girls (Love Jehad).
Muslim men prefer Hijab for Muslim girls, whereas, they prefer Hindu girls for marriage.
On Prime Time show on ‘India Today TV on 2 Oct 2022’, Mr Suresh Chavhanke, made a caustic comment in public gathering and gave a call to Hindus to fight, die and kill others in order to make India a Hindu Rashtra
Threatening Muslims of Genocide. Recently a clip surfaced online, where, a group of Hindu extremists are threatening Muslims of bathing them in blood outside a Mosque in Karnataka. Indian leaders Mr Shashi Tharoor and Mr Harsh Madhusadan were debated on media that ‘Will India Become a Hindu Rashtra by 2047’. The debate centered on Hindutva dominating Indian Constitution in the long run, As per Mr Tharoor, extremists Hindus rejected Indian Secular Constitution since inception and propagate that India belongs to Hindus only & all other minorities in India are either a guest or a bandit / interloper. He also said that Hindutva promotes that minorities should be relegated as a second class citizen or thrown out of India is meant to be a ‘Holy State for Hindus’ While Mr Madhusadan defend Savarkar’s Hindutva Ideology as essence of Indian Constitution.
