Special Correspondent: A political dialogue between Amar Bangladesh Party (AB) and Islami Andolan Bangladesh has been held. In the dialogue, 11-point consensus has been established, including PR system elections, elections after reforms and trial of fallen fascism.
As part of a series of dialogues, this bilateral dialogue was held with Amar Bangladesh Party on Wednesday at the central office of Islami Andolan in Purana Paltan. Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Mufti Syed Mohammad Rezaul Karim and Chairman of AB Party Mujibur Rahman Manju led on behalf of their respective parties. At this time, the two parties highlighted the points of consensus and said:
1. To build national unity in building a Bangladesh state free from hegemony, expansionism and imperialism.
2. Bringing corrupt, terrorists, murderers and money launderers to justice quickly and ensuring exemplary peace.
3. Building a national consensus to protect all civil rights and human rights, including the right to vote.
4. Completing the necessary reforms and arranging for fair and acceptable elections as soon as possible.
5. Preventing the rise in commodity prices and normalizing law and order.
6. All forces opposed to Awami fascism worked together to rebuild the country.
7. The forces opposed to Awami fascism do not speak against each other.
8. Remaining united so that no other fascist force like the Awami League can come to power in the future.
9. For the sake of permanent peace in the country and the liberation of the people, gradually repealing the anti-Sharia law existing in the constitution and avoiding insulting statements towards all religions including Islam, and not making any statements that hurt anyone’s religious feelings.
10. Quickly removing the Awami fascism allies still present in the administration.
11. To take extensive measures to introduce proportional representation in the National Assembly elections in order to ensure political stability and to accurately reflect public opinion.
The AB Party Central General Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad, Senior Vice Chairman Lt. Col. Didarul Alam, Joint General Secretary Barrister Jobair Ahmed Bhuiyan, Joint General Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Rana, Joint General Secretary Barrister Sunny Abdul Haque, Joint General Secretary ABM Khalid Hasan, Shadow Affairs Secretary Barrister Abbas Islam Khan, Sylhet Divisional Organizing Secretary Gazi Naser, Assistant Finance Secretary Abu Bakkar Siddique, Assistant Office Secretary Sarman Chowdhury, Assistant Publicity Secretary Ripon Mahmud were present at the said exchange of views and discussion meeting.
