
MM Rahmatullah: Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic and heart-wrenching incident of the plane crash on top of Uttara Milestone School.
A team of senior party leaders visited the families of the deceased and those under treatment at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute to offer condolences on Tuesday. During the visit, the delegation spoke with the on-duty doctors, volunteer organizations, and affected family members who were waiting outside. They were also briefed on the government’s oversight and medical efforts related to the incident.
A team led by the party’s Vice Chairman, Professor Dr. Major (Retd.) Abdul WahabMinar, took part in the ongoing medical assistance efforts day and night. After a comprehensive observation, the party’s Chairman, MojiburRahmanManju, briefed journalists in front of the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute. Vice Chairman Professor Dr. Major (Retd.) Abdul WahabMinar, Central Organizational Secretary (Barisal) GaziNasir, Deputy Secretary for Volunteer and Public Welfare Affairs TofazzalHossainRomij, Assistant Finance Secretary Abu BakarSiddique, Assistant Office Secretary MoshiurRahmanMilu, Paltan Thana Convener AbulQaderMunshi, and MizanurRahmanMithuwere also present during the briefing among other team members.
During the briefing, MojiburRahmanManju praised the doctors, volunteer organizations, political groups, and students for extending a spontaneous hand of compassion in serving the injured. He stated that a significant amount of blood donations had been received. Volunteers have also been actively helping maintain order on the roads. Expressing satisfaction with the quality of medical services being provided, he noted that most of the patients, except those in the ICU, were expected to recover. However, he added with a heavy heart that more tragic news could follow for those in critical condition.
He extended condolences and solidarity to those who lost loved ones, stating that the people and the state must stand by them as supportive friends. He urged the government to ensure proper financial support for the families of the deceased and the best possible treatment for the injured.
