MM Rahmatullah: Bangladesh Insurance Academy (BIA) organized its Golden Jubilee and awarded Associateship Certificates at CIRDAP Auditorium on Wednesday. Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division (FID) of Ministry of Finance was present as chief guest. Chairman of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) Mohammad Jainul Bari, President of Bangladesh Insurance Association Sheikh Kabir Hossain and Chairman of the Academic committee of Bangladesh Insurance Academy Dr Muhammad Sohrab Uddin Actuary were present as special guests.
Director of Bangladesh Insurance Academy SM Ibrahim, ACII SM Ibrahim delivered the welcome speech.
It has been noted that Bangladesh Insurance Academy is the only public training institute imparting insurance training and education for the insurance professionals of the country. The management of the academy is vested in a board formed by the government. The academy also provides tailor-made insurance training for the insurance operators in Bangladesh. Additionally it organizes customized training sessions, seminars, symposiums and conferences on issues relating to the insurance sector of Bangladesh.
