Diplomatic Correspondent: Bangladesh expressed deep concern over the safety of its nationals in Iran after recent attacks on the country. The government warned that ongoing hostilities threaten regional peace, stability and civilian well‑being, and called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and return to diplomacy to resolve differences.
In a statement, Bangladesh also condemned the violation of sovereignty of several regional states, naming Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The ministry said respect for territorial integrity is essential and urged the international community to intensify efforts to restore calm and security across the Middle East.
Authorities have initiated measures to protect the Bangladesh embassy in Tehran, its diplomats, staff and Bangladeshi students, and are coordinating with host governments to secure safe passage for stranded workers once the situation eases .
