Press Release: The Bangladesh Kollan Party (BKP) expressed deep sorrow over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was reported killed in a joint US‑Israel airstrike on 28 Feb 2026. In a joint statement signed by party chairman Shamsuddin Parvez and secretary‑general Mohammad Abu Hanif, the party prayed for the “maghfirat” of his soul and extended heartfelt condolences to the Iranian people.
The BKP described the attacks on Iran’s top religious leader and senior military officials as a “blatant violation of international law” and a “condemnable and alarming act of aggression” that threatens regional and global peace. It called on the United Nations and the international community to take immediate, effective measures to halt the violence and restore stability in the Middle East.
The party warned that the escalating conflict, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, could inflame Muslim sentiment worldwide and have far‑reaching consequences beyond one nation. It urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint, cease military actions, and pursue diplomatic solutions to protect civilians and uphold national sovereignty.
The statement was released by office secretary Md. Abu Sayeed on behalf of the Bangladesh Kollan Party.
