Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today directed the law enforcing agencies to complete all preparations by December next for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
He gave the directives at a meeting on the preparations of the law enforcing agencies for the upcoming parliamentary polls held at the State Guest House Jamuna here.
Later, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam briefed reporters at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.
CA’s Deputy Press Secretaries Apurba Jahangir and Abul Kalam Azad Majumder and Senior Assistant Press Secretary Ahammad Foyez were present at the briefing.
At the meeting, the Chief Adviser also directed authorities concerned to ensure that every polling centre is brought under CCTV coverage.
It was also informed at the meeting that eight lakh personnel of the law enforcing agencies will perform duty during the next elections.
