Md. Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: Administrators have been appointed in 6 union parishads of Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh due to the absence of their chairman.
The administrator was appointed through an office order of the local government branch signed by Deputy Commissioner Mufidul Alam on Wednesday. The unions to which the administrator was appointed are Chandhara Bhaitkandi, Singheshwar, Phulpur, Ruposhi and Balia unions of the upazila.
It is learned that due to the absence of the chairman and panel chairman of those 6 union parishads from their workplaces, official and civic service work was severely disrupted. As a result, the citizens of those unions suffered. Therefore, administrators have been appointed as per the Local Government Act.
