Md. Mijanur Rahman Akanda, Phulpur: Checks of financial assistance of Bangladesh National Social Welfare Parishad and disability allowance books for the financial year 2022 – 2023 have been distributed among the patients suffering from cancer, kidney, liver cirrhosis, paralyzed by stroke, congenital heart disease and thalassemia in Phulpur, Mymensingh. On this occasion, Upazila Executive Officer M Sazzadul Hasan presided over the Upazila Parishad conference room on Tuesday, where Upazila Awami League Senior Joint Convenor and former Upazila Vice Chairman Professor Habibur Rahman (Habib), Upazila Women Vice Chairman Rokeya Parveen Lucky, Municipal Awami League President Khalilur were present. Rahman, Upazila Chhatra League President Irshad Hossain Limon, Journalist Billal Hossain, ATM Rabiul Karim, MA Motaleb etc. Social service officer Md. Shihab Uddin Khan was in charge of the program. In the event, out of a total of 26 patients of 10 unions and 1 municipality of the upazila, 11 patients were given a check of 50 thousand taka and 15 patients were given a check of 2 thousand taka total of 5 lakh 80 thousand taka.
