Economic Reporter: Prominent entrepreneur Mesbah Uddin Khan Kislu has been elected as the Acting President of Sonagazi Samity Dhaka. He was unanimously elected at the executive committee meeting of the association held on November 2. Prior to this, he served as the Vice President and Chairperson of the Scholarship Committee of the association.
Mr. Mesbah Uddin Khan is involved in garments export and is a successful figure in this sector. He is the Managing Director of Windy Apparels Limited, a 100% export-oriented company. In recognition of his significant contribution to the national economy through garments exports in the fiscal year 2021-2022, the government awarded him the National Export Trophy Gold Medal as the Best Garments Exporter.
Mr. Mesbah Uddin Khan founded Windy Apparels in 1999. Since its establishment, he has been successfully exporting garments, playing a crucial role in the country’s economic development through foreign currency earnings, while also creating substantial employment opportunities. Currently, nearly 15,000 people are employed in Windy Group. For his significant contribution to the country’s industrial and business sectors, Mr. Mesbah Uddin Khan has been selected as a CIP (Commercially Important Person) multiple times. In his home area of Sonagazi, he is actively engaged in various training and educational development activities to build a skilled workforce.
