Press release: The committee of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Association, Dhaka, has been formed with the residents of the Chittagong Hill Tracts living in Dhaka.
Journalist AHM Faruk has been made the convener of the committee, Mitayon Chakma has been made the senior joint convener and revenue officer Md. Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan has been made the member secretary. A meeting was held on this occasion at the TSC of Dhaka University on Friday afternoon.
About a hundred prominent people from the three districts of the Hill Tracts were present at the time.
In addition, the joint conveners of the committee have been made – Bakher Uddin, journalist Ayan Ahmed, banker Abul Kalam Azad Nazmul Hasan (Nizam), Aminul Haque, Barrister Ishtiaq Hossain Jisam, Didarul Alam and Ayesha Khatun, respectively.
The joint member secretaries are Abu Taher Rony, Jahangir Alam Apu, Ahmed Hossain, IT expert Nadim Majid, Ibrahim Khalil (Api), Al Amin Ahmed, Rafiqul Islam, Zaker Hossain Shaheen and Abdullah Al Mamun Khokon, respectively.
