City Desk: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former MP Professor Miah Golam Parwar made the above comments on Tuesday in the speech as the chief guest, ‘ Death will come at a certain time, wherever you are inside or outside the prison.
Financial donations and prayers were held on Tuesday at Dhaka City South Jamaat’s Paltan office for the family members of the martyrs, who died in the Anti-discrimination student movement.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South organized the anti-discrimination student-public movement for martyrs’ family members and financial donation and prayer ceremony was held.
Party Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar was present as the chief guest at the event organized by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South.
Assistant Secretary General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan attended as special guest, while Central Executive Committee member and Amir of Dhaka City South Md Nurul Islam Bulbul presided over the event.
The event was conducted by Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam Masud, Secretary of Dhaka City South Jamaat.
An emotional atmosphere was created when the family members of the martyrs narrated the heartbreaking events of the anti-discrimination student movement during the financial donation and prayer ceremony. While narrating the incident, many of the bereaved cried, Jamaat leaders, journalists and other present could not hold back their tears.
In the speech of the Chief Guest, former MP Professor Miah Golam Parwar said that the dignity of a martyr is immense in the sight of Allah SWT. Those who gave their lives fighting for the cause of justice, have been forgiven before their blood falls on the ground, he added.
Addressing the family of the martyrs, he said, we may not be able to do much for you. But as long as the country exists, we will be by your side. We can be a companion of your sorrow, he added.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South organized the anti-discrimination student-public movement and gave financial support to the family members of the martyrs and offered financial assistance of 9 lakh taka, 1 lakh to each of the 9 families who were killed.
