Mymensingh Bureau: Mobile court has been conducted against illegal restaurants in Ganginarpar area of Sadar Upazila of Mymensingh on the initiative of Department of Environment Mymensingh District Office on 22 September. The mobile court was led by Mr. Rubel Mahmud, the learned Executive Magistrate and Deputy Director of Department of Environment, Mymensingh Divisional Office. Mr. Nazia Uddin, Assistant Director of Department of Environment, Mymensingh District Office served as the prosecutor.
Mr. Mihir Lal Sardar, Deputy Director of Environment Directorate Mymensingh District Office was also present in the mobile court. Sadar Thana police provided security and cooperation. At that time, 4 restaurant owners were fined and collected a total of 65,000 rupees for the crime of not having a standard kitchen, storing and serving rotten food in the refrigerator, operating it illegally without environmental clearance, operating the restaurant without ensuring storm management.
