Moon Desk: The government has reduced the prices of diesel, petrol and octane by Tk 5 per litre.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid confirmed it on Monday evening.
However, no gazette notification was issued till filing this report.
The prices will be effective from Tuesday midnight.
The new development comes hours after Nasrul Hamid said the government was going to make a decision on the adjustment of fuel prices within a day or two.
On August 6, the government increased fuel prices to a record high amid the volatility in the global market.
Diesel and kerosene retail prices were fixed at Tk 114, petrol at Tk 130 and octane at Tk 135 per litre.
