Nuruddin Jabed, Lakshmipur: Discussions have been held with traders for price tolerance, a planned city and decongestion in the upcoming month of Ramadan.
Raipur Municipality office organized the event on Tuesday afternoon. Raipur Municipal Mayor Gias Uddin Rubel Bhat presided over the event, where Member of Parliament of Laxmipur-2 Constituency and District Awami League General Secretary Advocate Noor Uddin Chowdhury Nayan was present as the chief guest.
Raipur Upazila Parishad Chairman and Upazila Awami League President Principal Mamunur Rashid, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nazma Binte Amin, Assistant Superintendent of Police Abdullah Mohammad Sheikh Sadi, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Monira Khatun, Raipur Upazila Awami League General Secretary Rafiqul Haider Babul Pathan, Raipur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Yasin Faruk Majumdar, municipal Awami League secretary Abu Said Juton and others were present as special guests.
After discussing various problems with the leaders of 14 organizations of Raipur market traders, all of them pledged to solve the problem in response to the MP’s speech, at the moment. The main theme of the program was not to sell adulterated goods and to control the rise in prices, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
