Md. Mijanur Rahman Akand, Phulpur: A doa mahfil was held in Phulpur, Mymensingh, organized by the Phulpur Upazila branch of the Bangladesh Mofusal Journalist Forum for the repose of the soul of Channel S’ senior reporter Tariqul Islam Shibli.
The doa mahfil was held at the Huffazul Quran Nooriya Madrasa on Amua Kanda Primary School Road of the municipality on Tuesday (September 23) afternoon. The program was presided over by the Phulpur Upazila President of the Bangladesh Mofusal Journalist Forum and Channel S representative Mizanur Rahman Akand. Senior journalists Humayun Kabir Mukul, Nurul Amin, Khalilur Rahman, Siddiqul Hasan, Mofizul Islam Oli, among others, were present at the time. Among the journalists of the organization were Upazila branch vice-president Selim Rana, general secretary Abdur Rahman Roni, joint general secretary Zahidul Haque Emon, organizing secretary Nazmul Hasan Rajan, treasurer Billal Hossain, members Hadiyatul Islam Umrid, Mahadi Hasan Shanto, as well as teachers and young students of the madrasa.
The organization’s religious affairs secretary and madrasa director Hafez Noor Hossain Talukder led the prayer at the event.
