
M A Mannan, Bhola: Dr. Sharif Ahmed has been reinstated in the 250-bed Bhola Sadar Hospital after eight years.
Yesterday (July 3), Dr. Sharif Ahmed said, I submitted my joining letter to the Civil Surgeon’s office of Bhola Sadar Hospital on Wednesday.
I was suspended from service for eight long years. I am deeply grateful for the way the people of Bhola stood by him and supported courage during that period.
At this time, Dr. Sharif said, I was a victim of the misrule of the previous Awami League govt. The sympathy and love of the people of Bhola gave me the strength to survive in this long struggle.
He sought prayers for the good health and long life of him and his family.
Dr. Sharif’s re-joining of Sadar Hospital has brought joy and excitement among colleagues, well-wishers and locals.
Politician and social worker Tariqul Islam Quaid said, he has everything a doctor should be. The service he has been providing to the people of Bhola for the past few years is very difficult to find these days.
He also said, where it is unimaginable to find a doctor in Bhola after 8 pm, Dr. Sharif Ahmed can be found even at 3 am or 4 am at night.
