Gazipur Correspondent: Tongi East Police Station has arrested an accused named Russell (42) from Purba Arichpur Medina Para of Tongi East Police Station on charges of murder during the anti-discrimination student movement.
He was arrested from Medina Para early Tuesday. The arrested Russell is the son of Nurul Islam of Purba Arichpur Medina Para of Tongi East Police Station. According to Tongi East Police Station sources, he is an active member of the Tongi East Police Station Awami Swechchhasebak League. He is accused of killing students during the anti-discrimination movement, attacking NCP Leader Hasnat Abdullah, drug and arms trafficking, seizing railway property, terrorism and extortion.
Tongi East Police Station also said that Russell had been absconding since August 5.
