MM Rahmatullah: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami`s Secretary General and former MP, Professor Miah Golam Parwar, has stated that the ruling party is attempting to declare the July referendum and vote invalid by putting pressure on the court. He warned that if the government continues down this path, BNP will have to take responsibility.

Speaking as the chief guest at an iftar gathering organized by the Ulema Division of Dhaka City South, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Parwar said, “The mystery of election result rigging is slowly unfolding. The statement of former advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan is proof that the election result was engineered with the help of domestic and foreign forces. Those involved in this engineering must be brought to light before the nation.”

Parwar emphasized the importance of the ulema community in creating true believers and patriotic citizens, saying, “The ulema community is the best sons of the nation. They have always played a crucial role in protecting the country`s independence and sovereignty.”

Other speakers at the event included Nurul Islam Bulbul, MP, and Aamir of Dhaka City South; Dr. Khalilur Rahman Madani, Secretary of the Central Ulema Division; and Maulana Abu Taher Jehadi, Chairman of the Islamic Law Implementation Committee.

The event was attended by various ulema and dignitaries, including Maulana Kamal Uddin Jafori, Maulana Shahidullah, Mufti Mizanur Rahman, and Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mannan.
