MM Rahmatullah: Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain said that even though there are initial discussions with Narendra Modi to bring Sheikh Hasina back to the country, it is not final. He said this at a formal briefing at the Foreign Affairs Ministry on Tuesday afternoon.
Foreign Affairs Adviser said that during the bilateral talks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that relations are with the country and the people, not with individuals or parties. Dr. Yunus and Narendra Modi have agreed to avoid objectionable statements to improve relations between the two countries.
Foreign Affairs Adviser also said that Bangladesh is still waiting for India’s decision on the Teesta project. The Ministry of Water Resources is ready to work with those from whom good cooperation can be obtained, be it India or China.
Touhid Hossain said that looting is not a language of protest. Those who are doing such things are conspiring to tarnish the image of the country. He considers the looting in the name of the movement for Palestine to be planned when the investment conference is going on in the country.
Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan will visit Dhaka this month, Touhid Hossain also said at that time. He also said that there will be discussions to strengthen bilateral relations.
