Special Correspondent: A discussion meeting titled ‘Expatriates’ Thoughts on Post-Revolution Bangladesh’ was held in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
AB Party Central Executive Council member and AB Jubo Party convener Shahadatullah Tutul was present as the chief guest, while AB Party Malaysia convener Dr. Belal Hossain presided over the event. Prominent businessman and AB Party leader Dr. Sehel Masud was present as the special guest.
Shahadatullah Tutul said that in the July-August July uprising of students, youth and the people, citizens of all classes and professions should be involved in rights-based politics to build a Bangladesh without discrimination. As conscious citizens, they should play a role in state building. He said that expatriates are not just remittance warriors; they are the soldiers behind this revolution. When the expatriates raised their passport renewal, problems with recruitment agencies and various irregularities at the Bangladesh Embassy, he said that the illegal recruiters of the fascist government at various levels of the administration are still causing suffering to the people. He said that government officials must play the role of servants of the people by adopting the spirit of revolution. He called on all citizens to get involved with the AB Party to build a future Bangladesh free from corruption and discrimination.
Dr. Sohel Masud said, We expatriates dream of a corruption-free Bangladesh even though we are far away. The initiative taken by the AB Party to build the country inspires us.
President Dr. Belal Hossain said that the Bangladesh Embassy should show more sincerity for the welfare of the expatriates. The patronizing treatment of expatriates who play a role in the country’s economy is very sad. He assured that the AB Party will work regularly to solve the problems of the expatriates.

Adus Sultan, women leader Shabnam Rahman, Taslima Akhter, Malaysian youth leader Hossain Ahmed, Md. Saheb Ali, Anwar Hossain, Lutfar Rahman Khan, Rudra Parvez, Md. Milton Hossain, Kazi Mahmudul Hasan, SM Nahiyum, Yar Hossain, Sumon Hossain, Kazi Shahabuddin, Ataur Rahman, E Kabir, Abdus Sultan, Md.
