MM Rahmatullah: Various organizations have extended floral greetings to Muhammad Abdullah, the newly appointed Managing Director of the Bangladesh Journalists’ Welfare Trust. The greetings were conveyed yesterday at the National Press Club. The organizations that extended their wishes include the Feni Journalists Forum Dhaka, Feni Samity Dhaka, Sonagazi Samity Dhaka, Songjog Nodel, the National Life Insurance Authority, and the English daily The Economic Express.
The government appointed Muhammad Abdullah, a distinguished journalist, columnist, and former elected president of the Bangladesh Federal Journalists’ Union, as the Managing Director of the Bangladesh Journalists’ Welfare Trust for a two-year term. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification regarding this appointment on September 18, and he joined the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on the afternoon of September 19.
In response, Mr. Muhammad Abdullah expressed optimism that the Bangladesh Journalists’ Welfare Trust will work for the greater welfare of journalists across the country in the future.
