Diplomatic Correspondent: The outgoing Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bangladesh Achim Tröster paid a farewell courtesy call on Md. Touhid Hossain, Foreign Adviser of Bangladesh at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka today.
During the meeting, the Foreign Adviser expressed his appreciation for Ambassador Tröster’s role in strengthening the longstanding and multifaceted bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and Germany. He conveyed particular gratitude for Germany’s steadfast support to Bangladesh’s Interim Government and its ongoing reform initiatives.
The meeting further featured constructive exchanges on a wide range of regional and global issues of mutual concern, reaffirming both countries’ shared commitment to international peace, security and sustainable development.
Ambassador Tröster, in turn, expressed deep appreciation for the warm hospitality and close cooperation extended by the Government of Bangladesh and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs throughout his tenure. He lauded the people of Bangladesh for their enduring dedication to democratic values and national development, praising their resilience and sacrifices in the pursuit of freedom and shared prosperity.
Both the Foreign Adviser and the Ambassador expressed confidence that the friendly and cooperative ties between Bangladesh and Germany would continue to deepen, diversify and flourish in the years ahead.
