
Press Release: IFIC Bank PLC, in collaboration with the Department of Anthropology at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), organized a financial literacy workshop to equip students with practical knowledge on personal financial management and to enhance their professional development.
The workshop was held on 24 June 2025 at the Mini Auditorium of SUST. The session was presided over by Mr. Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, Proctor of SUST. Mr. Khaled Ahmed, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, Sylhet Office, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Head of the Department of Economics; Dr. Md. Khairul Islam, Head of the Department of Business Administration, SUST; and Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director & Chief of Branch Business, IFIC Bank.
In their remarks, the guests highlighted the importance of financial literacy in driving sustainable economic growth and urged students to actively engage in and benefit from such educational initiatives.
Ms. Fariha Haider, Head of Centralized Retail Marketing at IFIC Bank, conducted the workshop as the resource person. She provided students with comprehensive insights into effective personal financial planning, professional skill development, and preparedness for the evolving technological landscape in the financial sector.
