Gazipur Correspondent: The Gazipur District Inter-School Karate Competition 2024 was organized by the International Karate Union Bangladesh. The competition was held yesterday at the organization’s new office in the Tongi River Port area of Gazipur district with the participation of karate students from various educational institutions in the district.
More than a hundred competitors from 27 educational institutions participated in various age-based events in Kata and Kumite in the competition.
Haji Saeed Laboratory School won first place with 6 gold, 2 silver and 4 copper medals, Haji Peyar Ali Government Primary School won second place with 2 gold, 4 silver and 4 copper medals, and Tongi Shahaj Uddin Sarkar School and College won third place with 1 silver and 10 copper medals in the competition. Certificates and medals were awarded to the winners at the end of the day-long competition.
Syed Atik, Senior Vice President of the Central Committee of the organization presided over the award distribution ceremony, while Sensei Abdullah Al Mamun, Shekanul Islam Shahi, Sensei Jamal Uddin Chowdhury, Sayeed Mahmud, Jasim Uddin, Roni and Zahid Hasan addressed in the event.
