Chapainawabganj Correspondent: Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Saturday said they want trial of killers of worthy sons of the soil under the same law and tribunal what they (killers) used to kill them illegally.

“We don’t want to take revenge of what repression they carried out on our party, but we want justice of the killings and punishment of the kingpins,” he told the party’s district unit Rukon Conference at Hefzul Ulum Alia Madrasha ground in sadar upazila as the chief guest.

“If we get justice, our aspirations would be fulfilled, he added.

The Jamaat Ameer said Awami League assumed the state power three times in a row, but people could not exercise their voting rights in any of the elections.

“Awami League became lord of the country instead of serving the people,” he said, adding, “We don’t want to see any lord in the form of human in the country. Allah is the lord of the country and whoever will come to power, they must have to serve the countrymen.”

About the future Bangladesh, he said, “We want such a Bangladesh where there will be no discrimination and the country will be humanitarian and free from injustice and unemployment. Here a child would be born with four fundamental rights –living, treatment, education and employment.”

Castigating the ousted Awami League government, he said that they banned Jamaat-e-Islami on 1st August and only after four days Allah banned them on 5th August.
