Desk Report: Sristy Human Rights Society has demanded exemplary punishment for the killers of journalist Golam Rabbani Nadeem, who was killed in a terrorist attack recently. Shahadat Hossain Munna, vice chairman of the organization, made this claim in a statement sent on Saturday afternoon. In the statement, Shahadat Hossain Munna said, we have come to know from various media sources that Golam Rabbani Nadeem, the Jamalpur correspondent of BanglaNews24.com, was killed last Wednesday (June 14) by the ruling Awami League leader in Bakshiganj upazila. A group of 15-20 terrorists attacked and killed Nadeem led by Sadhurpara UP Chairman and Union Awami League General Secretary Mahmudul Alam Babu of Bakshiganj Upazila. Shahadat Hossain Munna also said that such incident is a threat to the freedom of the media. We have not been witnessed the fair trial of the constant attacks, torture and killing of journalists in recent years. The same dilemma has been made in Sagar-Rooney’s murder case. Dates keep changing. This means that there is doubt whether the killers will be prosecuted. We strongly condemn the brutal killing of journalist Nadeem while doing his duty with honesty and devotion.
