Celebrating 6 years of Janakankha Bangladesh
Special Correspondent: AB Party Chairman Mohammed Mojibur Rahman Bhuiyan Monju said; None of us are free from the responsibility of the suicide of Lamiya, the daughter of Shaheed Jasim Uddin of Dumki Upazila of Patuakhali, who was shot dead by police in Dhaka during the July mass uprising, it is the responsibility of all of us. He believes that a case should be filed against the advisors for negligence and disregard. He said this at the celebration of 6 years of Janakantha Bangladesh at the central office of Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) at 4:00 pm on Sunday.
A new political party has become essential in the context of the fascist regime in Bangladesh. When the political parties of the country are locked in the liberation war and ideological debates, the need for a new political party arises. In this context, the platform called Janakantha Bangladesh was formed on April 27, 2019, with the aim of establishing a new political party. That platform called `Janakankhaar Bangladesh` was transformed into today’s Amar Bangladesh Party.
AB Party Chairman Mojibur Rahman Manju spoke as the chief guest under the chairmanship of the party’s Senior Vice Chairman Professor Dr. Abdul Wahab Minar and moderated by Joint General Secretary Advocate Abdullah Al Mamun Rana. This suicide is eating away at the conscience of each of us. We are all responsible for Lamia’s suicide.” A case should be filed against the relevant advisors of the interim government for this. He said, if a nation does not have a history, it cannot stand as a nation. Similarly, there is a history in the context of establishing a party. Our party also has a historical context. He said, there was a desire among us for a new political initiative. To find something new, which we named the Bangladesh of the People’s Desire. There was a desire among us, the desire to do something new. Whenever a few people got together, we would say whether something could be done or not!! We slowly wrote and slowly spread our thoughts among everyone.
He also said, on February 14, an important event in my life happened, which was discussed and criticized a lot. That’s when we decided that we would prepare a declaration.
We sent this declaration to many famous people and consulted them. Then we thought and formed a platform called the Bangladesh of the People’s Desire. After much consultation, we announced the Bangladesh of the People’s Desire at Hotel 71. On the eve of the announcement, we faced police obstruction, ignoring the police obstruction, and held the inaugural ceremony of the Bangladesh Platform of People’s Desire. That day, we broke the police barricade and held the program. We were able to start the journey that day successfully. Accepting many hardships, we started the journey of the new platform. We announced the new platform with the aim of inclusive politics.
