MA Mannan, Bhola: On the occasion of the 126th birth anniversary of rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, a “Book Reading and Writing Essay” competition was held in Bhola.
Yesterday (May 24) at 10:00 am, the competition was held at the District Govt Public Library auditorium..
Students from various educational institutions of participated in the competition. Educational materials were distributed as gifts to all the students participating in the competition.
According to the information, after evaluating the answer scripts and tabulating the marks, the results will be published on the official Facebook page and website of the District Public Library.
On May 25, at 7:00 pm. prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winners at the District Shilpakala Academy today on this occasion.
Important books of Bengali literature, including Nazrul’s literary works, will be displayed and showed on this birth anniversary event.
The speakers at the event said that this initiative of the District Government Public Library, will play a positive role in increasing literary practice and reading habits among the students. The speakers also mentioned the unique contribution of Nazrul to Bengali literature.
