MOON Desk: The newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun was adorned with the IGP rank badge in presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobhaban here today.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and senior secretary of the Public Security Division under the home ministry Md Akhtar Hossain completed the formalities of adorning the badge, said a press release.
Senior officials of the Prime Minister’s Office were present on the occasion.
On September 30, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun took over the charge as the new IGP.
Earlier, IGP Mamun paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his mausoleum at Tungipara.
