Staff Correspondent: National Life Insurance, the country’s leading life insurance company, has won South Asia’s most prestigious professional award ‘South Asian Federation of Accountants-SAFA Gold Award’. National Life Insurance is the only life insurance company in Bangladesh to win this gold award in the life insurance category.
The South Asian Federation of Accountants-SAFA presented this award to National Life Insurance at an award ceremony held at Radisson Blu Hotel in New Delhi, India on December 22.
National Life Chief Executive Officer Md Kazim Uddin and Chief Financial Officer Prabir Chandra Das accepted this prestigious professional award from FCA South Asia.
The award was presented by SAFA President CA Nihar Jambusaria and Chairperson of the Award Committee Ms. Anoji De Silva.
SAFA is the Central Association of Institutes of Professional Accountants in South Asian countries. Every year, the organization reviews and audits the annual reports of the financial institutions of the member countries and gives this award to the institutions that have achieved the highest position in various indicators.
SAFA presented the award for the publication of appropriate financial statements including transparency, accountability and corporate governance in National Life’s 2022 annual report.
National Life Insurance, the only life insurance company in Bangladesh’s 52-year history, has received this prestigious award, and all levels of officers and employees, including the company’s board of directors, are celebrating. Through this achievement, National Life Insurance Company achieved another victory in the month of Victory and took the life insurance industry of the country one step further.
National Life Insurance is the country’s first life insurance company and a pioneer in the insurance business in the private sector. This year the company has won National Award on Insurance Day, FBCCI Business Excellence Award, ICSB Gold Award, ICMAB Gold Award, ICAB Award, Commonwealth Award and 4th ICC Emerging Asia Insurance Award-2023, South Asian Business Excellence Award-2023, Commonwealth for its contribution to insurance sector.
According to insurance experts, National Life insurance has been able to ensure hundred percent transparency in addition to doing good business under the overall direction of Chairman Alhaj Morshed Alam MP and efficient and dynamic leadership of CEO Md. Kazim Uddin. The stakeholders believe that these awards will speed up the overall activities of the company.
