
Special Correspondent: National Life Insurance Company, the leading life insurance company in Bangladesh, has disbursed Tk 3.65cr in insurance claims under its Greater Dhaka Region. The claim cheques were officially handed over to the policyholders during a development meeting held on April 13, 2025, at the company’s head office NLI Tower in the city.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer Md. Kazim Uddin personally distributed the claim cheques among the customers in the event. “In 2024, we earned approximately Tk 21 billion in insurance premiums and paid out around Tk 12.5 billion in claims, he stated in his speech.
This is a reflection of our excellence. We place the utmost importance on timely claim settlements and are committed to disbursing even more claims in 2025,” he explained.
He further emphasized that timely claim settlements contribute significantly to increasing trust and interest in life insurance among the public. “There is immense potential for life insurance in Bangladesh. We must seize this opportunity to advance the sector, which in turn will benefit both the country and its people,” he added.
Company’s Assistant Managing Director, Bahar Uddin Majumder presided over the meeting, where Additional Managing Director Md. Khosru Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Director Md. Abul Kashem, and Vice President Md. Wali Ullah were present as Special guests.
Senior development officials from the Greater Dhaka region also attended the program, including Divisional Vice Presidents Md. Mushfiqur Rahman (Mymensingh), Parvez Ullah Khan (Netrokona), Nikhil Chandra Bonik (Tangail), Nayon Kumar Ray (Dohar), Azizul Haque (Jamalpur), and AVP A.K.M. Asad Ullah Khan (Kishoreganj). Around 200 development officers and zonal heads participated in the event.
