Kalamakanda (Netrokona) Correspondent: “We will win in knowledge and science, we will be the best in the world” is the theme of the National Science and Technology Week, Science Fair, and the 9th National Science Fair in Kalamakanda, Netrokona.
Olympiad and 9th Science Quiz Competition and Discussion Meeting were held.
The day-long fair was held at the Parishad Hall room on Wednesday under the initiative of the upazila administration.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Faizul Wasima Nahat presided over the event, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Liaquat Ali Khan moderated in the discussion meeting. Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Kanika Sarkar, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid Saiful Islam, Upazila BNP Convener M.A. Khair, freedom fighter Abdul Bari Chan Mia, Kharnoi UP Chairman Md. Obaidul Haque, Kalmakanda Press Club President Sheikh Shamim, journalist Zahirul Islam Mamun among others addressed at the event.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Faizul Wasima Nahat said that the day-long National Science and Technology Week has been organized with the aim of creating a love of science and science awareness at all levels and encouraging children, teenagers and young people to develop their innovative power.
He further said that Science Olympiad, science quizzes and seminars have been organized at the Science and Technology Week Science Fair. Fifteen teams from schools and madrasas participated in this fair with their respective innovative technologies.
