Moon Desk : One dengue patient died and 460 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Tuesday morning.
With the latest death, a total of 54 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 1,738 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 1,314 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 424 are in other divisions.
As many as 14,822 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 13,030 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
