Sports Desk: The Arfa Karim Memorial Badminton Tournament, organized by the Pakistan High Commission in collaboration with the Bangladesh Badminton Federation, concluded today with the American Standard International School emerging victorious.  F.H. Traders clinched second place while the City Bank and UN World Food Program (UNWFP) secured 3rd and 4th positions respectively.
The tournament, held to honor the legacy of the iconic Arfa Karim, saw enthusiastic participation from 32 teams representing MoFA Bangladesh, diplomatic missions, UN bodies, business companies, educational institutions, and media outlets.
The concluding ceremony was graced by the Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh, Ambassador Masud Bin Momen as the chief guest who along with Pakistan High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maroof, awarded trophies and cash prizes to the winning teams. The Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Mr. Yao Wen, and the Secretary General, Para Archery Association Mr. Faisal Ahsan Ullah were also present on the occasion.
Foreign Secretary Momen deeply appreciated the High Commission for organizing the event and assured the continuous support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in future also. High Commissioner Maroof thanked Foreign Secretary Momen and Bangladesh Badminton Federation for their support and the participants for making the tournament a resounding success with their enthralling participation.
