Moon Desk: The fate of Lendup Darji, who sold freedom for power, is an instructive history. Mir Jafar-Ghesheti Begum betrayed the nation and handed over the independence of Bengal to the British for 190 years after being seduced by the Masands. In Hyderabad Tragedy, Syed Ahmad El Edrus was cast in the role of the new Mir Jafar, but the arrival of Qasem Rizvi in the role of Mirmadan was just right. As history witnesses, power-hungry traitors Mir Zafar-Ghesheti Begum-Lendup Darjid appeared in the lust for power, similarly Mohanlal-Kasem Rizvira, inspired by the great ideals of patriotism, stood up to protect the country. The Lendup Darjis remain in the dustbin of history as objects of hatred and the Sirajuddaula-Mir Madans as paragons of patriotism. History does not forgive traitors.
