Muslim League leaders at the discussion meeting on Nawab Salimullah’s birth anniversary
City Desk: The political movement initiated by the visionary Nawab Salimullah from Dhaka in 1906 to free the oppressed and exploited people of the Indian subcontinent from the prisons of the occupying British, resulted in the partition of India in 1947, followed by the independence of Bangladesh in 1971 through the Great War of Liberation. The goal with which Nawab Salimullah infused the life of Muslim ethnic politics has not yet been fully realized. The people of independent Bangladesh are politically and economically imprisoned in the prison of Awami misrule from which the people want to be freed. On the occasion of the 153rd birth anniversary of Nawab Sir Salimullah, founder of the Muslim League, Dhaka University, BUET, visionary of countless educational institutions, founder of Muslim ethnicity politics, a discussion and prayer organized by Bangladesh Muslim League under the chairmanship of party executive president Abdul Aziz Howladar on the occasion of the 153rd birth anniversary of Nawab Sir Salimullah. Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon said that educationist Nawab Salimullah has worked for the development of education throughout his life, and Awami League wants to turn the nation into a crippled nation by breaking the backbone of the nation. He demanded to publish the list of assets of all the ministers and MPs of the Awami regime. In the speech of the chief guest, Mr. Abdus Salam said, if we deny the contribution of Nawab Salimullah, we will become an extremely ungrateful nation. He also said that people own the country, but Awami League has robbed that ownership. All should forget all differences and unite to get ownership back. At the end of the meeting, prayers were prayed for the soul of Nawab Salimullah.
