Online Desk: Adviser to the Interim Government Mahfuj Alam has said the power will be handed over through democratic process after completing the cherished reforms.
He said this while addressing a reception at Ramganj Upazila Government College ground on Saturday.
Ruling out any possibility of military rule in the country Mahfuz Alam said, “We need not be henchman of others as we independently ousted Hasina from power with the support of students and mass people.”
“We will not bow to anyone anymore. There is nothing to be afraid of with 1/11,” he said urging all pro-Bangladeshi political parties to support the government for necessary reforms.
Mahfuj Alam said, “We are not satisfied with just overthrowing the fascist regime of Awami League. We will bring to justice all the characters of Awami League fascism at different levels of the administration, education and cultural arenas.”
“We will move towards realizing the aspirations of the martyrs by bringing them to justice,” he added.
Mahfuz Alam said, “We want to complete all necessary reforms based on consensus with the political parties.”
Principal of the college Prof. Didarul Islam presided over the event.
After the reception, the advisor exchanged views with the government officials at the Upazila auditorium.
