Abdul Jabbar, Subarnachar (Noakhali): A protest rally and gathering were held in Subarnachar, Noakhali, condemning the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, Palestine. The event took place on Friday (March 21) after the Jumu’ah prayers, organized by students, youth, and people from all walks of life in Subarnachar.

The protest march began at Baitus Sharaf Jame Mosque in Haris Bazar, paraded through Haris Chowdhury Bazar, and concluded at Jubilee Square. Another procession from Haji Lal Mia Mahajan Samaj joined the main rally. During the protest, demonstrators chanted slogans against Israel and Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Following the march, a brief gathering was held at Jubilee Square. Speakers at the event included Maulana Redwanul Bari, Khatib of Haris Chowdhury Bazar Jame Mosque; Atikur Rahman Ashru, Joint Convener of Subarnachar Upazila Jubo Dal; Maulana Didarul Islam, a leader of Hefazat-e-Islam; Maulana Zainal Abedin, a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in Char Jubilee Union; and Zahidul Islam Rakib, a student leader from Dhaka Tamirul Millat Madrasa.

During the gathering, Maulana Redwanul Bari stated, “On the 18th day of Ramadan, during Suhoor, the Zionist Israeli forces bombed innocent Palestinian Muslims, killing hundreds in their sleep. We strongly condemn and protest this brutal massacre. Now is the time for Muslim unity. Muslims around the world must unite and give a strong response to Israel. We must set aside all differences and come together under the banner of unity.”

The speakers emphasized, “Israel has become a poison for Palestinian Muslims, and its venomous fangs must be broken. From today’s gathering, we call upon all Muslims in Bangladesh to boycott Israeli products and raise their voices against them.”

The event concluded with a special prayer for the residents of Gaza, Palestine.
